| How do you think this cost of a subscription to XBL affects people? Personally, it's what made me switch to PS3. I can't afford that, I'm only 13. I know many people don't care, they believe it offers a better service. But, your opinions? | |

| I think Xbox is cheap to buy but expensive to game (subscribtion fees and stuff). PS3 is expensive to buy but gaming is technically free (don't have to pay for things you do on XBOX).
If you buy PS3 it's for long term but Xbox you can buy a new one easy.

| My PS3 I've had for years. Very solid. My brother played on it for at least 3/4 hours a day, sometimes 5/6. And now I am constantly leaving it on overnight. My Xbox once broke because I left it on for too long and it practically blew up.
I'm taking PS3 as the casual gamers system, really. Xbox is more hardcore but both have good features and I despise the great almighty console war.

| I don't think the price of Xbox Live is too bad; I pay for the 3-month subscription and it's relatively cheap. The price of a new game on the other hand is outrageous, at $60 + tax when they first come out. | |

| I have rights to believe sometimes PS3 games are more expensive! | |

| That may be true, but I was only stating my opinion. I wouldn't actually know, seeing as I don't own a PS3. | |

| Well, soon they're merging with Steam. Should be interesting. I think Xbox should be less than £20 a year, tbh. Just me though, I'm a cheap skate. ^_^ | |

| It doesn't make you a cheapskate; I feel the same way (only the money is in $ and not £). With how bad the economy is right now, everybody's hurting for cash. | |

| And my mum is single without a job. I barely get much money. Therefore, I made the switch to PS3. Which has many more FREE features. Xbox has like 90% of stuff costing money. | |

| My Mom is also a single mother, but she does have a job. It still doesn't help though, especially seeing as I'm going to be 20 years old in May, and am long past the point where she stopped buying games for me, lol. I want to get a PS3 once I can though; there's a lot of games for the PS3 that aren't available for the Xbox 360, and I want them, ha ha! | |

| Oh, I know that; I wasn't saying that there wasn't. I was merely stating that I'd like to get myself a PS3 for certain Sony exclusives. | |

| Thats why I wait for games to drop to about $20 or less. That's pretty much what they're worth to me since I complete them so fast. Games used to take my forever to complete. Now I complete my games in under a week with only playing at night. | |

| Yeah, but who really wants to wait until a game such as Call of Duty reaches $20? By then there's already a new one out! Lol. | |

| I think Microsoft needs to lower the price that a game retails for when it first comes out. It's a popular misconception that the company releasing the game names the price, when it's actually Microsoft that tells the company what it can sell for. It's kind of stupid, but that's how it works. | |

| Yeah, that would be a good idea! The only flaw with that is that it wouldn't benefit everybody. :/ | |

| Exactly. So it's kind of pointless. :/
Microsoft just needs to stop being such a money hungry company; it's not like they don't have enough money already, lol.
